1 Troy Ounce RAM $1 SILVER ROO COIN (2002)
The design featured on this superb frosted uncirculated silver Kangaroo $1 Coin is taken from a painting by aboriginal artist Mark Nodea. Mark belongs to the Gija tribe in the eastern Kimberley region and lives in Warmun (turkey creek), south-west of Kununurra in Western Australia. his paintings reflect the nearness of the bungle bungles, the red earthy colours of the Kimberley region and the strong traditions that are kept alive in the Warmun community through the oral re-telling of stories, Corroboree and painting. the coin is released in recognition of the Kangaroo as a special symbol of Australia and is faithfully sculptured by Vladimir Gottwald. Struck in fine silver, this frosted uncirculated coin features the second aboriginal design and is the tenth release in the silver kangaroo series.
